Kangana Ranaut supports Blake Lively amid sexual harassment claims against Justin Baldoni; says, “Even in Hollywood women who refuse to comprise…”

Popular Hollywood actress Blake Lively has been making the news ever since she filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexually harassing her on set and tarnishing her reputation.

Amid the case, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has come out in support of the Gossip Girl star. Kangana Ranaut took to social media and shared a post in which she wrote, “Even in Hollywood women who refuse to comprise, they are maligned and their careers are destroyed. It’s not just Bollywood. Similar report called Hema Committee had come out about Malayalam’s first industry, it is worrying and shameful.”

She also reacted to Blake’s sister Robyn Lively’s comment on the ongoing controversy and said, “I urge everyone to read the NY Times article in its entirety. It calls out those behind the ruthless and nefarious smear campaign that aimed to take down my sister.”

Recently, even Justin Baldoni’s lawyer Jennifer Abel slammed Blake Lovely’s smear campaign Abel made comments in several lengthy posts on Facebook. In her deleted post she mentioned, that the messages, shared with crisis expert Melissa Nathan, were lighthearted comments about fan reactions and did not indicate any deliberate smear campaign against Lively.

About Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni’s case

Lively has accused the actor-director and his production company Wayfarer Studios of misconduct and sexual harassment. She has also claimed that his team orchestrated a smear campaign “to destroy her reputation.”

The complaint read, “The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial. Given the ongoing nature of the campaign and the associated negative public sentiment, Ms. Lively did not believe she could proceed with public appearances or events without being forced to openly discuss what happened on set.”

Meanwhile, Baldoni’s legal representative has called the allegations “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.”
